Painting Trees Art Class
Painting Trees will introduce students to painting a variety of trees and painting landscapes with trees. Students will study the basic shapes and structure of different trees including palm trees, evergreen trees, and deciduous trees. Students will paint original landscapes with trees.
Please, bring you painting supplies to the first class. Please begin collecting photos and drawings of the different types of trees to use as reference for your landscape paintings.
The six-week class will meet on Wednesday mornings from 9:30 AM until 12:00 noon at the Glenshaw Public Library, 1504 Butler Plank Road, Glenshaw, PA. Classes will begin on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 and end on February 25, 2026.
The price of the class is $105.00. Make checks payable to Teri Geever. Check may be mailed to Teri Geever, 1831 Vollmer Drive, Glenshaw, PA 15116.

ROOTS: Adult Storytelling
The Glenshaw Public Library hosts a recurring “Roots: Storytelling” event, typically every other month, on the last Thursday. This evening for adults begins at 7:00 PM and each event has a unique ‘theme.’ The next will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2026 with theme “Resolution.” Share a story of one made, kept, or broken, from the past or on the horizon, in a fun-filled evening!

ROOTS: Adult Storytelling
Every other month, the Glenshaw Public Library hosts a “Roots: Storytelling” event. A storytelling event for adults, we begin at 7:00 p.m. It’s a great opportunity to come and listen to some great stories, or an opportunity to share your own story. Each event has a unique ‘theme.’ The next storytelling event will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2024. The theme is a variation of Homecoming; your theme can be Homecoming, Home Coming, or Coming Home. Stop by and enjoy a fun-filled evening with us.
Holiday Photos Fundraiser
Are you looking for a Fall seasonal photo with your pet? With your family? With someone special? OR are you looking to take a Holiday photo and have it framed as a gift? Or maybe create a Christmas card? Perhaps a Holiday postcard?
Yes! The library is taking appointments NOW to have your picture(s) taken! We’ve created a seasonal background in the library, as well as a holiday background!
Send an email to glenshawlibrary@gmail.com. Reservations will be taken for Tuesday evenings and Saturday library hours. Cost per session is $35. Digital photos will be sent to you by email.

Santa Tour ' 24
Santa Tour ‘24! Santa will be at the Glenshaw Public Library on Saturday, December 14, 2024. Time: 11:00 am until 1:30 pm. Join us for crafts, cookies & cocoa! Moms and Dads, bring your camera! Take as many photos as you’d like. Family photos taken too! Kiddies, write a letter to Santa or draw a picture!! Suggested donation is $5 per child.
We do not take reservations. Just show up and spend some time with us!
